Thoughts to jot down before I forget....

I've got a case of spring fever big time. So much going on, and making so many plans, I can't sit still for long.

Yesterday we had Nerf gun wars in the yard with the Posse. Now I need to hit up Target for a new supply of darts. It was so beautiful outside!

One of the families in our Homeschool Posse closed on their new house, just a short walk from ours! We are so excited to have them so much closer. It will be wonderful for the boys to be able to see them more often than once a week.

Hooked up my new little lion head fountain on the back deck. The running water is so relaxing, DS10 and I almost fell asleep out there this afternoon. I'm hoping next month to find a water plant to grow in it. Its so warm and sun shiny its very tempting to till and plant but I have to remember this is Wisconsin. It could still snow.

Baked a batch of chocolate cookies with white chips. Now I need to bag them up and pass them around so I don't end up eating them all. Since I still love to bake, this is my new plan. Bake it and then take it somewhere else.

The boys are really into playing Earth Bound. Its a very cool RPG, (role playing game) where you need to collect different songs from different places in order to battle the aliens who are "earth bound". My favorite part is the fact the boys' character must call his mother from time to time in the game, or he gets homesick and comes down with the sniffles! TOO CUTE- but don't tell them I said this or they will stop playing it!

I got a wonderful, twenty five percent raise at work!! Twenty Five Percent!!  I'm so grateful and have the best boss in the world! She really does appreciate all I do and understands my commitment to the company. It wasn't like I was being under paid before either. I'm stunned, but I also know I'm worth it. DH pointed out to me that I didn't even make this much hourly as I did when I worked full time as an assistant supervisor on a fraud investigation team. I am so blessed.

Farmer's Market on the Square moves outside tomorrow! I can't wait! I know there isn't any produce yet, but its still fun to stroll around enjoying the bakery carts, honey stands, beef jerky and nursery plants. We'll probably pick up some popcorn too.

Our movie stash is ready for when the rains come later tomorrow. DH rented The Spirit, Sharks in Venice, The Man With The Golden Gun, The Black Hole, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and so it isn't all cheese and guy movies, The Reader. I'm really looking forward to a weekend where we don't have to go anywhere, unless we want to, or do anything unless we want to.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

You've been busy! I can see you know with the Nerf gun war. lol Bet you DID have a blast and are probably known to your sons' friends as the 'coolest mom ever!'. :o)

You do as I do when baking. I tend to give away stuff too to avoid eating it. Now you've got me wanting to eat some choc chip cookies..................*wiping drool from my chin* heh heh

Congrats on that raise! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's fantastic. Man, if ALL companies would give employees a 25% raise, we'd all be happy campers! :o) You deserve it and I'm glad your boss realizes this.

Out town is trying to get a Farmers' Market together, but not sure if it'll pan out. The closest one is about an hr away.........:(

I love water fountains. I'd really love to have one out back, but haven't moved on it yet. I'd REALLY like to have a small pond, but that'll never happen. Maybe when fountains go on clearance, I'll go crazy and buy one. My daughter got an aquarium and I have enjoyed the sounds from it. Water is so peaceful, unless you have to go to the bathroom. lol

Enjoy your movie weekend!

Mmmm cookies. I've been wanting to make some but am waiting for Easter candy to be gone first.

A fountain does sound relaxing. I'd be afraid it would make me have to pee all the time LOL

Earthbound sounds cute!

That's so great about getting a raise. Not too many places are giving out raises this year.

Enjoy your weekend!

Your cookies sounds so good, I am baking tomorrow.

Congrats on the raise!!

We are loving the warmer temps also, but my mom always said she would keep her snow tires on her car until her birthday (May5th) because you never knew what the weather would do. Sometimes she was so right to leave them on but I think winter is over, I hope.

We rented movies from the library for our rainy day which will be on sunday

Hugs Across the Miles and Enjoy your movies

You said the "S" word ... the horrible one - especially since we live up here ....never mention it again - ok :O)

I am SOOOOOO glad that spring is here and it has been so nice out ! I now it is said it will rain all weekend, but I hope the nice weather sticks around some more .. I really do enjoy it so. Watching ovies does sound fun, but there aren't too many we'll watch anymore - good day to finish my spring cleaning and wash all the beddings though. :O)

That is great that a homeschool family moved close to ya. We haven't any too close to us. The group I joined has people in it from all over in different counties and everything, I don't even know where some places are. lol. Not too many are close to us.

Great news about the raise too ~ it IS very nice to know someone appriciates the things you do, it makes you feel good inside and plus, you got the raise too ! Congrats !

Hope that your weekend is a good one ! HUGS !

I found our small fountain at Farm and Fleet on clearance for $24. Its about the size of a large patio pot. I figured it would be the same as buying a container for plants, only this one will have a water plant growing from it.

Stormmie- At first it did make me want to pee, but that's a good thing! I'm trying to flush my kidney stones! LOL!

Have a wonderful weekend. We got the sun and warm weaher today. We spent the morning and afternoon doing yard work. I think only Mike and I can tell what was done, but it's enough that we know. We have to wait to plant here too. It could still frost so until then, I have to wait. :-) Hugs!
