I've got lots I could do indoors today. I need to finish up our workshop plans for next weekend's home school conference. Preliminary numbers are much higher than I thought they would be. I was expecting around 25 participants in each workshop, but it looks like we'll have 40 for our Apples to Apples game workshop, 80 for our Letterboxing workshop and 95 for our Flat Travelers workshop. I'm not panicking because my family has no choice but to help me out! LOL! I also believe those numbers will go down. People may have registered for the workshops, but I'm guessing not everyone will actually show up. Especially with this Swine Flu scare.
The men in my nest all have sore throats, probably just from a cold virus, but DS10 was worried he was getting Swine Flu. I took that teachable moment to explain to him that he does not have Swine Flu and most likelly will not catch it. We talked about how to prevent getting sick and how every few years, its natural for flu cases to spike up. I just hope they are all feeling better by this upcoming weekend. I also hope I don't catch what they've got just in time for the conference! Its one thing to ask DH to help me cut out an army of paper dolls, but another to ask him to get up in front of a room full of strangers and talk!
Well, I better get moving. I want to get everything done today so I can chillax and stay well the rest of the week.

That's what it's called...I never knew what Creeping Charlie's name was until now. We've got it all over the place here. I just let it go. I'm sure there's a neighbor or two that get's bent out of shape over my weedy yard. But that's okay 'cause I don't care for their chemical filled one.
What an awesome response for the workshops! Hope the conference goes smoothly.
I saw in the paper this morning that a 9 year old came back from vacationing in Mexico with swine flu and went to school before showing any symptoms. They've closed the school to clean everything and make sure no other children caught it.
Hope your house is all healthy come the weekend. Take care!
I hope no storm will end up to be anything serious. I have a friend living in Kansas who often talks about the spring storms. It sounds so strange to me because we never have any storms here in spring. There are thunder storms perhaps in August when the weather changes and the summer starts getting close to its end but no nature phenomena are never too serious over here. Do have a good rest of the Monday!
We were very humid and warm this morning with sprinkles of rain but now it is clearing up and the sun is shining.
We have that plant growing too but I also didn't know the name of it. Learn something new everyday
Sounds like you are going to have a great conference, maybe the word got out how well you did last time and you are Famous now.
Hope your menfolk get feeling better. Good luck on getting all your stuff done. Conference sounds like fun. Have a great night!
Good luck with your projects, and I hope the boys don't get worse! This is also sinus time, which can cause sore throats. Keep us posted!
