We headed to K-town to satisfy our pizza cravings and watch our first movie on Blue Ray. MIL has a much better TV so we brought DS's PS3 and watched Close Encounters. I never realized Richard Dryfuss had such blue eyes.
On our way home from MIL's we stopped at a new Target, which surprisingly, looked trashed already. I bought more Emergen-C, (fighting the Rhino once again). On the way out I used the restroom and was impressed with the hand dryer. I normally can't stand air dryers and prefer to use paper towels, but this Target had the "Xlerator" dryer!
As I looked down at the warm air blowing on my hands, I could see the skin on my hands being pushed back like an astronaut's face being exposed to G-force. Strangely, it didn't hurt my hands, even though looking at my skin you would have thought it should have. My hands did dry really fast, to my disappointment. It was fun watching my skin being pushed back on my hands. After I walked out, I wish I would have had someone with me, willing to put their face under the Xlerator dryer. I wondered if you'd look like an astronaut with G-force. (Its so easy to impress me.)
I found this video on youtube to show you.

lol.. here comes the blue ray out go the vhs
You are so funny Dawn !! Kind of looks like alien technology though.
Have to admit l have no idea what blue ray is, l see it advertised tho. lol maybe l'm still in the dark ages.
After we've spent too much money replacing VHS with DVD, there is no way we're going to start doing BlueRay now. Golly - in two years it will be something else! The good thing is, you can play DVDs on the BlueRay players, so if they stop making DVD players, at least our DVDs can still be used.
Those dryers are amazing. Our movie theater has them now. Finally, a dryer that really gets your hands dry, and it's fun to do, too!!
That does look strange. Even stranger that someone had a video showing it. lol
There's a dryer like this at the local theater. It's freaky seeing my skin get wooshed around!
They have a dryer that is like that at the Shedd only you put your hands into a slot and the air come out like that from both sides!
They also had these at the YMCA camp that we took the Girl Scouts to last summer. One of the other mom's was very happy to see that even the "young skin" on the girls hands did the same g-force thing!! She thought it might just be cause she was old! LOL!
I'm so with you there! We have hundreds of VHS movies and now DVD has been coming over for a good while... and now BluRay is coming... d'oh! Even if I do follow the technology improving and I'm not usually stuck to things that are getting "old" I find this really annoying... when people settle down with something a new thing is brought up in the market... and then again... and again... uh oh!
I thought the same thing! LOL!
That's so funny. A columnist from a local paper had a series of articles on that type of dryer last year, but I've forgotten where he said they were available around here. lol I'd go try one if I could remember! LOL
