A few months ago Super Nanny came to our small town of Evansville and tonight the episode airs. I don't know the family, but I'll be watching tonight to see if my sister is in the background! While she was shopping at the Piggly Wiggly, Super Nanny was shooting the family trying to grocery shop with begging children. I'm also curious to see how they portray our small town. We have about 4000 people, but we're a bedroom community close to Madison.
Its on ABC at 8:00pm CST.

I ALWAYS watch Wife Swap and Super Nanny. Those are my two fave shows !

And in one short week she transforms them all! LOL....this show is beyond irritating to me and in more cases than one all that is needed is a swift smack on the tush. That said, I know people who just love the show and so why not....just not for me...I'd prefer to live in reality:)

Thanks for visiting my blog, but please know, I don't approve of tushie smacking. I know your intention was not to start a debate. Its just preventing child abuse is a huge cause of mine. My family will tell you what crazy lengths I will go to stop it. (Maija remember the state fair?!)
I've raised very well behaved boys without having to spank them. Our family believes any part of a person's body where their swimsuit touches is a private part you DO NOT TOUCH! Whether you are a grown up or not, a person's tushie is off limits!
Maybe that should be my next blog topic? How to discipline, (unschooling style), without hitting or yelling at your kids. My kids are proof positive it can be done!
I agree with recipesandremedies, l watched this once for 20 minutes and wanted to scream. Hope you get to see your sister tho, that could be fun.
I've raised eight children and spanking was a part of growing up. In this day and age it does seem that it has gotten out of hand and if one is unable to punish with loving hands then I would say do not spank at all. Spanking does not mean beatings....now those kids I have seen on this nanny show? I'd have them over my knee in a heart beat. I have eight children who have never...and I mean ever... pulled stunts like that and to this day not one would even think to disrespect me and they have children of their own.
We always watch Super Nanny, I have been waiting for this episode with your town in it.

Hey WS had an unschooling family on it .. I am watching SN right now.
I saw that but deliberately chose not to watch it! Wife Swap always places extreme, polar opposites against each other, and I can't stand how they exploit the children! Their motivation is to make good TV and every family they place on their they try to make look like freaks.
As for Super Nanny, we normally don't watch it, but since it was our town, I had to check it out. It was cool seeing familiar houses and our grocery store but alas, my sister was not in the background shots.
We also won't be watching any more Super Nanny because I think DH has the hots for her! I asked him if I should start using a British accent and he said it won't work on me! LOL!

WS wasn;t that bad .. they didn;t even talk about the unschooling except in one comment. It is one of my fave shows - I just have no idea why ... I just like it.
