Yesterday I bought microfiber towels to use instead of paper towels. Not wanting to pay a high price, I skipped the cleaning products aisle at Target and hit up the automotive care aisle. I found a really great set of premium detailing microfiber towels for $6! I know any old towel cut into pieces would have worked but once you've tried microfiber, you know why I spent $6 on cleaning rags!
After work last night I did something I rarely do. I went out for drinks with my co-workers! I don't drink alcohol, but with my manager friend leaving, I wanted to wish her well. My naive coworkers almost all barely aged 21, decided to gather at the worst Mexican restaurant in Madison, Pedros. Anyone experienced with true Mexican cuisine knows this place is a joke. I think they choose it for the giant margaritas.
My manager friend is my age, and she doesn't really do the bar thing either. We did have a good time though. I realized I missed being 22, but I'm really glad I'm actually not!
I have a job interview scheduled already. I just started looking yesterday and my first interview is Monday. With my friend leaving, I began to think I too should look for something else. I want to stop driving so far. Our local library is hiring. Would this not be a homeschooling mom's dream come true? Actually I'm not getting my hopes up because I'm guessing the wage will be really low. Don't you wish you could just ask,"How much would this job pay?" I will go through the protocol, ace the interview and then find out the wage is unrealistic for my family's needs. If anything else it will reaffirm that we need to develop a home business.
Alright. Enough talk. Time for action. I want to play infomercial with my new microfiber friends! LOL! Have a great Friday!

Good luck w/ the job search!
How do you juggle working with homeschooling? I'm not sure how I could manage it (or what on earth I could do, having been at home for 10 years!!!) but we could really do with some extra cash.
I'm spring cleaning too. I use old terry cloth nappies, believe it or not!
I live not far from a library and even inquired twice about it.. but at the time they were in the PS school the last time the person said I would have to learn all the libraries (and means driving) at first. Then shortly after I pulled them out.. so that was mute maybe someday when I have a new man in my life (sigh). always wanted to work in library myself.
I currently work at home working on contract. Writing hand written notes for non profit companies well they were but I think that has changed cus I recently wrote something for a Property Tax lawyer in TX.
I only work 12 hours a week, evenings. Right now its only Tues thru Thurs which is excellent. I have long weekends and never have to work holidays. If I accept the library position it would be Mon thru Thurs evenings, but my commute time would go from 1.5 hours round trip to 2 minutes round trip.
I have to juggle both working and homeschooling. Financially it's not possible to live on DH's pay alone. In order to get our required hours, if I homeschool year round, I have to spend 2.5 hours a day with my kids. (We end up doing much more of course.) Its not really that difficult.
Did you get all the dust bunnies? Seems like my little problem has cleared up and l can now see the submit on all but my home page. One of my on line friends told me how to fix that. I'd go for the 2 minute round trip, think of the gas money you'll save, might make up the differnce in salary. Good luck.
lol, my home page was ok when l went back to it from here. You must have been my good luck charm.
Library sounds like a cool job and if the commute is shorter than its definately worth it. You don't want to be working just for the gas tank. Good Luck with everything
Working in a library would be nice. The shorter drive would save you money on gas. Good luck.
