I became an occasional drinker of lattes, although I pinched my pennies and steered clear of Starbucks, stopping at Kwik Trip gas stations instead. I've now taken another step down this dark, java path. I brewed my own pot!
My mom had bought me a little coffee pot to keep on hand for when she visits. I brought it out while DMIL was here and this morning she made herself a little pot of French Caramel Cream Decaf. It smelled so good. She wasn't gone an hour before I decided to brew another pot and give it a try. I added a shot of soy milk and wallah, for around the price of .25, hug in a cup!
DMIL was here babysitting the boys. Last night DH and I headed to Milwaukee to catch the Kids In The Hall show. It was a good time although the experience was marred by the shock of stopping at the box office to pick up our Joe Jackson tickets come to find out they weren't there! We checked when we got home and yes, our Visa card was charged. DH also has the email confirming the ticket sale including seat numbers. I'm really hoping there are tickets waiting for us at will call or we'll both be very disappointed. I'm worried they screwed up and gave our tickets away! I don't want a refund. I want my 6th row seat in front of Joe's Piano!! DH will call tomorrow to try and straighten it all out. The show's on the 21st.
I did a little "saleing", (not sailing), with DMIL before the date night. We scored at the first garage sale open for the season. I found a dozen Tupperware containers that will make excellent Letterboxes, and DMIL bought for us an early anniversary present, really nice patio chairs and cushions. I'm on the hunt for a patio table now!
Unfortunately, DH is working again this weekend. Sure we squeezed in a date night, but the poor man has worked 15 straight days now. It stinks!
Well, I can't sit here any longer. We're breaking the 60 degree mark today! I have to get out, even though its windy, and soak this up. Its been a long winter, and I can't get the Beatles tune out of my head- "Here comes the sun....na, na, na, na.... Here comes the sun and I say.... ITS ALL RIGHT!!"

Lol.. I can take it or leave it I love the smell will drink flavored or non flavored WITH hot chocolate is best. This past winter I was making my own iced coffee drinks..
My parents drank it black so that is how I started. But by the time I drank it it was room temp.. so almost any temp but scolding hot is fine as well. Cream and sugar I got into when I was working at Wendy's one time.
See after all this time though I finally put it together COFFEE calms me. I must be ADHD lol... So after one cup I am ready for bed. Weird uh?
I love the smell of coffee but I still don't like the taste. I still prefer tea - both hot and iced tea. I even make gallons of ice tea for our family. I have turned everyone here into tea drinkers, LOL . But its better than soda
I can't wait for rummage sale season to start. We shoul start in the next week or two if the weather stays warm
I couldn't exist without coffee, no flavors, just sugar and milk. I do drink it cold, keep a pot in the fridge. Good shopping at the garage sales, always nice to get something you want. Hope that ticket thing turns out ok.
mmm, coffee. I love coffee. Gotta have a cup every day. and you're right, those mochas at starbucks are the best. lol.
Glad to hear you had a nice date night and hope you do have those tickets.
take care Dawn and have a wonderful Sunday
I've been drinking coffee since college and find I can't live without at least one cup a day (mind you that is at least one ;-).
Hope it is easy to get the ticket situation straightened out.
It was a beautiful Sunday, wasn't it? I opened my windows and just enjoyed the fresh air. :-)
Oh no!!! Another one has been taken to the "dark side"!! I am the only non-coffee drinker left??? I do like the Starbucks Mocha Frappachino's though...... but they are cold.
I'm a tea drinker. My fave is iced tea. Glad you found a new drink you like. Hope you tickets are found. I love going to yard sales. Always a good day when you find something you need. Have a great week
I know nothing about coffee except it smells good. The smell reminds of vacations (hotels) and bookstores.
One of these days you need to do a post all about Letterboxing (maybe you have in the past and I missed it) and let us know all the details about that hobby!
I enjoy flavored coffees, but don't have to have a cup daily. Roger, however, is another story. Caffeine does NOTHING for him, so I'm not sure why he drinks it.
I don't like the flavor of regular coffee unless I can REALLY tone it down with lots of half and half and sugar. LOL
I hope your hubby gets a day off soon! Glad you were able to squeeze a date into the weekend.
Man, that stinks about your tickets! I hope they find them! :( *crossing fingers for ya*
Debbi and I have witness she said she was going to... (smiles)
