Low fat granola recipe

Yes I wear Birkenstocks and make my own granola. Here's my inexpensive, low fat version.

Easy, very basic, homemade low fat Granola

4 1/2 C old fashioned oats
1/3 C chopped almonds
2 t cinnamon
1/4 C apple juice
1/4 C brown sugar
1 T olive oil

Toss the above together and place on a large cookie sheet or jelly roll pan

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes

Stir granola

Bake for another 15 minutes

Allow the granola to cool and then add your favorite dried fruits. Today I had on hand dried blueberries, orange flavored cranberries and raisins. This tastes great with cold vanilla soy milk or yogurt.

this might be good, most granola is too sweet for my taste.

I love granola. Usually the recipes have lots of ingredients. This one sounds easy + yummy. I'll have to try it one of these days. Thanks

Skip the nuts or choose one you're not allergic to. Or dried coconut?
