"What kind?"
"I want to cook steak."
"How about trying hamburger first?
"Ok."
"How do you want to cook it? On a grill, open fire?"
"The stove is fine."
So off to the store I went to buy a pound of hamburger. This was my responsibility as an unschooling mom. I pushed back the thoughts of how just a few years ago, DS12 ate vegetarian with me.
I brought the meat home, and he did the rest. He shared his lunch accomplishment with his brother. They both said the burgers were excellent.
I think I'll ask Jake if he wants to start making supper for the family on some nights.
