Our Halloween Night

Here's our Businessman Zombie. Before he got dressed, he looked very creepy staring at us from the dark hallway. He hauled in quite a stash of treats, and all the walking he's been doing helped him cruise through the neighborhood in record time this year.

DS15 stayed home with friends in the Mancave playing games. I was on doorbell duty while DH and DS11 were out. It started out slow but really picked up. I was glad we had picked up extra candy because we ended up with about 200 trick or treaters.

After Trick or Treating, we watched The Walking Dead. So far, it seems interesting, although fairly obvious they are proud of their special effect makeup. I was surprised by the amount of graphic violence, (head shots) on regular TV, but maybe AMC isn't considered regular TV?

GREAT costume! I would have given him all the candy we had if he knocked on our door!! No wonder he had a good haul! LOL

WOW - 200 kids?!! The most we ever had was around 40. We quit participating a few years ago. Leave the lights off and put a sign on the door that we don't participate. It got so it was older kids and it wasn't fun anymore. Glad DS15 stayed home!! There comes a time, and he recognized it - good for him.

He looks amazing, great costume. Wow, he certainly did well, look at all those treats. 200 kids, that is incredible. We had less then 50 which means I have lots of treats left over which isn't good for me.

We live in a very family friendly neighborhood. We have older trick or treaters, even grown ups, but that's okay. Its sort of like a community block party and a chance to say hello to your neighbors. The grown ups usually offer adult beverages. :) One dad cracked me up last night with his costume. He had an old Favre jersey on and he had crossed out Favre and written in DIVA. He also wore a pink feather boa and tiara. Sometimes the adults are more entertaining than the kids.

Love the Favre costume! lol

Your son's costume was great!:o) In my brother-in-law's neighborhood, he had a slow night with almost 100 Tot'ers. Usually, he has about 300. :o) lol The town had a festival on the square last Thursday and then churches were having activities on Sat and Sun.....There were only 5 homes on my BIL's street who handed out candy. Needless to say, Alex didn't get much candy. That's okay too, tho, because I sure don't need to eat a heaping helping of it! lol
