Goodbye EVIL CABLE COMPANY!!!

I hope it won't be long before I will be able to blog again, but we have to dump Charter cable and Dish. Today was the final nail in their coffin. Every time I call their customer service they are complete A holes!

They sent us a notice they couldn't process our automatic transaction and they were charging us $25 to boot. I called and found out they had the incorrect expiration date on our Visa card.

Instead of realizing they mistyped it, the A hole told me I gave them the wrong expiration date in 2006. I called my credit union and found out the decline code was due to someone at Charter hand keying in our account number and expiration date. CHARTER HAD TO KEY IN THE INCORRECT EXPIRATION DATE!

Rather than simply apologizing, removing the $25 fee and changing the expiration date to the actual date, the A hole refused to transfer me to a manager and just insisted it was me, not them. So now they won't be getting $2076 dollars a year from us.

Don't mess with Darkside Dawn!

Make sure you get a disconnet order from them so they don't try to keep charging you saying you never cancelled. That happened to a friend of mine.

Did you get the customer service person's name? I would definitely call and report their behaviour. I'm sorry you had the issue with them. They'll probably ask you why you are canceling when you do cancel and be sure to tell them. They may even give you some perks for your hassle. :)

Beginning of April I got to make a disconnect us call to our cable company. It felt sooo good. Kept taking away channels + raising prices. Got another bill the next month too. Had to call them again. Finally got it straightened out. I don't think you can work there unless you are a A-Hole.

I love your "Darkside Dawn" pic. If I join, will I really get a free cookie?

I'd back up the phone calls from today with a letter explaining the entire situation again (including the fact that their service folks are a-holes) and then also noting that you want the service canceled.

I will tell you that after two years with Directv, I won't go back to cable if I can avoid it when I move out of these apartments. They were terrific.
