1/30/10 Beginning Weekend Notes....

It was crazy cold Friday night, but that didn't stop us. We picked up an early supper of McDonald's for the boys and then left the teenagers at home alone. Along with my sister, DH & I headed into Madison to see my nephew perform with his band, Seven Signs. Its a more crunchy type of metal than I'm used to, but my nephew is really good! We're looking forward to going back and see his band again in a few weeks.

Being back in a bar/nightclub, I realized how much I have missed enjoying live music. Once we're back on our feet, I think DH & I will have to get back to rocking out on a regular basis, even though our favorite band is still without a lead singer.

After we got home, the boys were still up, enjoying having the house to themselves. Together we stayed up and watched Ghost Hunters. I must have been tired because it started to spook me a little. This morning, I now realize how Ghost Hunters fake it and its all acting. I'm so silly when I get tired! :)

As nostalgic I feel realizing my boys are no longer babies, and they need me less each day, I do have to admit, having this extra time to devote to my husband and my personal life feels good. It makes the time we can spend together as a family better.

I watch Ghost Hunters, too. Not so sure it is staged and fake, though. We have a paranormal society here in our county. Anyway... I DO know that big time wrestling is fake. LOL

Glad you had some time to get out and enjoy time with DH!!

I'm glad you had a great time seeing your nephew's band. I love going to concerts and clubs to see live bands, its one of my passions. It's nice to get out and enjoy a fun evening and the boys like it to lol. Have a wonderful day.

Sounds like you had a great time and its great your kids can take care of themselves for a few hours. Ghost Hunters always seems over edited to me and acted in some scenes. I amazed they don't tell their clients everything that happens when they are investigating, it should be up to the clients to believe or not to believe something.

They would have a field day in our current house, their is always something going bump in the night

Glad you had a good time.

I used to watch Ghost Hunters. Haven't watched it in a while.

My son doesn't need me much either. He has friends + is busy with his own life. It was kinda hard at first but now I'm really enjoying the Me time. Hubby has been home more lately too so we've been spending more time together which has been nice.
Have a great weekend!
