13 Broken Things I Wish We Had The Money To Fix
1. My Vibe- :( It started making a loud noise when I go over 55mph - thought it was the muffler but as I parked tonight, it made another awful noise and now I'm worried it has something to do with an expensive transmission.
2. Water softener - Noticing our water seemed a little on the hard side, I reminded DH to add salt to the softener. We discovered it was still full of salt even though we haven't added any in months. Now that we think about it, we can't remember hearing it run for quite awhile, but we did have it set to recycle at 3:00am.
3. The exhaust fan in the boys' bathroom is not working at all
4. The exhaust fan in our bathroom is broken too. It runs, but makes an awful racket.
5. Trying to plug Christmas lights into an outlet in the dark, I pushed too hard on a polarized plug and broke the outlet. It still works, but there is no resistance when you insert a plug. That can't be good.
6. Our teeth - I could use a few crowns and DS soon to be 11, needs braces
7. The recessed light over my kitchen sink. It would be much more pleasant to see how clean my dishes can be.
8. My camera. The USB port no longer works and lately its taking cruddy photos.
9. The graphics card needs replacing on the downstairs computer.
10. The internal cooling fan is broken on that computer too.
11. All inside doors in our house do not close or open well at all.
12. No real lock on the boys' bathroom door. We busted it years ago when DS fell in the shower and we feared he had a head injury. Our improvised lock is just a hook, since we have to replace the entire door frame now.
13. MY OUTLOOK!! The financial strain we're under is taking a huge toll on me. I'll go to bed now and hopefully things will look brighter in the morning.

When it rains it pours. You have to take one day at a time and eventually things will get better and all will be fixed. Stay positive Dawn, it will happen.
Oh dear! I guess when things really are bound to go wrong then they do. I hope you get the things fixed one after another.
My Christmas Tree lights' plug wire was also broken but so far it didn't cause any trouble. Now I've taken the tree away as well but we'll see if I need new lights next Christmas.
I agree with Kelly's note. One day at a time. Hugs.
Wow girl, I can relate with you on the outlets, usb port, broken locks (and even a couple missing doors), doors that won't open and close correctly, and teeth! Wow, I didn't realize how many things are broken around here until I read this :o\ Only thing is, #13, my outlook, I still manage to look at the good side of things most everyday. If I didn't I'd probably lose my mind for sure, lol. Hope you feel better today and things look brighter. :o)
Oh...poor Vibe. That's the kind of car I have and I love mine!! Big enough to haul the pups around, but good on gas. Hope it's an easy fix.
Wow I can relate to no money + broken stuff. I finally just got the shredder I've been needing for at least 2 years. Got it on clearance for a great price. My son really needs braces too. Like everyone said....just take it one day at a time. Hope the car is a cheap easy fix.
Thats all we can do is take one day at a time and hope for the best. Wish we were closer, dh is a great mechanic and surely could tell you what is wrong and possibly fix it. Without him I know our van wouldn't be running at all.
I am sure I could come up with a long list of problems with this rental house but its better than the one before so we just deal with the problems it has. Dentist problems I can relate to, my kids have never been to a dentist before, I pray they won't run into any problems
