I can't speak to giving this to children. I only know that since I have been getting the flu shot every year, I really don't get sick much at all... even with a cold. I believe it helps. Children's systems are more sensitive. You have to do what you believe is best for your children.

Dawn that is a GREAT article and I had to smile as I read about those things we're already doing.......Vitamin D, garlic and then at the end I saw raw honey! I was like YAY!! We are on track!

We won't be getting this H1N1 vaccine and will continue our D, garlic and honey daily!!

Just to think they have to create an epidemic so they can sell shots. Boggles the mind.

I was researching this last night - scary stuff. Elderberry is another good one to have on hand.

Yes!! I just found out some good info on elderberry as well from my food co-op and ordered some this month!

when I was little they use a little pince of asphity ? sac of gauze pinned inside my shirt,, not sure of spelling there.
I had lots of problems with being sick when it was damp but it seemed to work a lot,,mainly I think cause it stinks,, sorta ,, I like the smell of it myself,, guess I got use to it, it seems to at least keep people away from your kid.
I know it was still around when my daughter was young had to go to an old drug store to find it tho and some old fashion teething powders that worked like a charm, Moms had better natural stuff I think back when I was a kid,, so hard to find good stuff that works the same now I think.
