Posse Rats are in the boycave. (Blame my Christmas spirit.) DH is cozy on the couch watching the Bears dish it to the Packers. (We happen to be Bears fans living in Cheeseland and in this neck of the woods, this is a common thing.) I'm sitting here with a blanket in my lap waiting for the Jesus' Birthday cake to finish baking. Later I'll have to head out to the store. Don't think I'll walk today though.
I've decided my MIL is bringing so much food, most of which will be meats, I will focus on healthy salads. I'm going to try making a black eyed pea salad along with my must have fruit salad. I may also make my favorite broccoli slaw salad.
Yesterday I went furniture shopping with my sis. I love browsing furniture stores almost as much as browsing craft stores, both of which the rest of my family detests. There is one thing I hate about furniture stores- Sales people! I hate to be sold to. I don't trust them, I don't want to hear their stick, I just want to be left alone. If I have questions I'll ask, otherwise back off. I really was "just looking." Its my sis who is seriously looking for new seating. The prices seemed obscenely high. Its been a long while since I've actually bought a couch- 12 years? I really don't plan on purchasing furniture until the boys are older and the Posse Rats have moved on to trashing college dorm rooms instead of my home.
I would like to try and build lofts for the boys in 2008. They are getting to an age where they need a more grown up, teen room. They currently have bunk beds, but I like the idea of lofts with desk space underneath. Who knows, maybe the day will come where they want their own room. For now though, they enjoy sharing and keeping each other company.
I love when I can hear them talking about stuff before they fall asleep. I don't mean to eavesdrop, but its so gosh darn sweet. Thursday nights are "Monkey Marathon" nights. DS12 has been making up bedtime stories to tell his monkey loving brother.
Jesus' birthday cake is done. Its a simple round, white cake on which will go white frosting. DS8 & DH's favorite. I better get up now and bundle up for my run to the Wiggler.
If I don't get the chance to say it later, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas filled with God's peace and many blessings. I have so much to be so grateful for already, I've already been blessed with gifts!

Sounds like your in for a snowy Christmas. We're having rain, would rather it be snow.
Be careful traveling. That road looks dangerous. Have a great Christmas!!!
