The original author suggested using a Le Creuset, enamel coated cast iron pot. I showed my husband the photo on Pinterest and he said, "Buy one." Yes, the appearance of this bread alone holds power.
With his blessing, I went to order a beautiful, blue Le Creuset online, then stopped dead in my tracks. HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR A POT???!!!
I thought about finding a cheaper version until I learned my mother in law had one of these precious Le Creuset pots. She received it as a farewell gift when she retired.
I don't know how I'm not going to tear into this loaf of heaven before the husband returns home. Something tells me I'll be stirring up another loaf tonight, to bake in the morning.

If you need another opinion, I'll give you my address and you can over-night some to me!! ;-)
I just read the recipe and it does sound so easy. I dont have one of those expensive pots but do have a pyrex round with a lid, and she did say you could use other types of pots. I am going to give it a try...thanks for the recipe Dawn.
Oh it does look yummy and you were able to borrow the pot from your mother in law??? I can't get over how expensive pots can be!! Did you make another one??? Enjoy your bread!!
I have been too busy for Pinterest *sad sigh* lately. I will have to check out your faves there and see recipe. I don't have a large pot that can go in oven but I am on a search for more cast iron pans so maybe I'll find one I can afford. Let us know if it tastes as good as it looks. Looks yummy
