Just finished making basil, onion, garlic, marinara sauce and my taste buds have reminded me why its worth all the effort to grow tomatoes in my garden.

I always make my own sauce this way....but I think this year not from my own garden, I will have to go pick and bring them home and then start doing the job of washing, cutting and then cooking....I usually like to get about 40 jars or so done up for winter time use. And yes its worth the effort to eat and jar up what you grow.
