Its another huge Christmas tree for us this year! Every season we choose and chop down a Balsam Fir tree from the Winterberry Christmas Tree farm just a few miles from our home. I like Balsams because they are fragrant and native to Wisconsin. We've decided to set it up in the kitchen this year. We didn't want to worry about spilling water on the new laminate. I'll have to wait now to install our new kitchen floor until after the season, but that's okay. I think I'm going to love having the tree here. Its very cozy! You can still see the tree from the family room as well. I'll take another photo after we finish decorating.
I thought we'd be the only family at the farm on a Friday afternoon, but there were several of us trying to get our Christmas trees ahead of the snow storm heading our way tonight. We could have up to 9 inches tomorrow. The boys are really looking forward to it. They love snow. I only love it when I don't have to drive in it.

Nice looking tree Dawn, look forward to seeing photos when its all decorated. I think you picked the perfect spot for it. Enjoy the snow, just be careful if you have to drive. Have a good weekend.

Pretty tree! I heard a great tip about watering fresh trees.....put ice cubes in the bowl. You don't have to worry about spilling water that way. :o)
