Yesterday we had two young hummers fighting over the feeder. They worked it out. As soon as one would fly away, the other would swoop in. I'm hoping we can pick up another feeder this weekend, one with wasp guards. It was interesting to see how at first, the young birds would be frightened away by the wasps, but now they are sticking around and having a sip. I'm still worried about getting stung every time I have to refill it with nectar.

They learned how to share, that's sweet. I would be afraid to get stung also Dawn so you are best off doing it in the evening.

We had two females doing the hummingbird dance this afternoon around the feeder. Flying up and down, leaving and coming back. Quite funny. Then a wasp came over to crash the party and the birds were dodging it. Eventually, one of the girls got a sip or two. I told them if they just worked together, they could get as much nectar as they wanted! We have THREE feeders! lol
