And I had trouble buying the fact this man was intelligent enough to survive the end of the world while working in a basement lab, researching a cure, but not intelligent enough to stop from walking directly into a trap.
I think I liked the version with Vincent Price better. I'll have to watch Omega man soon.

Interesting review. I liked it better than 2 stars... maybe four-ish. I don't pay much attention to the CGI stuff and get creeped out by the music, or silence, or things that jump out no matter what they are!
Sorry....I have to disagree...I reviewed this movie on my site. My family loved it!
Sorry I have to disagree too. I liked it.
I'd have to give it a two and a half at most. It wasn't a bad movie. But, it wouldn't be one I'd buy or spend more than a dvd rental on. I think Will Smith was wonderful, but so much was left out of the human mental and emotional side of it. And, there was not enough covered in the flashbacks to give a more solid background. And, they could have done a lot more with how the hives were evolving and growing in their organization and intelligence and apparently beginning to develop at least a form of mating relationships. It did make me want to read the book because I am guessing that the movie did not do justice to the book.
Didn't see it..... DD15 saw it and I think she liked it. I will have to rent it and watch it, and I will let you know!
BTW - Nothing beats Vincent Price! :-)
I know just one star is mean, but I didn't like it a bit, because he didn't go ahead and shoot one of the darn deer when he was driving through the middle of thousands of them...went over and chased down one on foot with lions around...duh! lol
The deer!! I know!!!! He has an assault rifle and can't hit one deer?!! He can trap mutant monsters but can't bag one deer!!!! Hmm... you think your noisy car may be scaring them?
LOL! I forgot about the deer. It didn't seem like he was too into actually killing it. OK and was it just me or were the lion cubs a bit much?? And, where were the housecats and stray cats?!?!?
