Wall E

Rating:★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Animation
The boys had seen this movie without DH and I. (We were rocking out with Blind Melon.) They had said it was a good movie, but DS9 curiously refused to watch it again. He said it makes him cry.

Now from the preview, I didn't think it would be any good, but since DS13 wanted to watch it again, I sat down with him so he wouldn't have to watch it alone. DS9 preferred hanging out with dad.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was! I thought it was going to be depressing, a lonely robot in a garbage filled world. Plus, its Disney, a company who seems to make a ton of movies where children are orphaned, families separated, etc. This story however, doesn't linger in the sadness very long and it has a great message.

DS9 would tell you though, its no fun seeing robots get beaten up!

I thought we would love this, but my kids actually lost interest and didn't even finish it. I was in and out of the room cleaning and stuff, but from my limited viewi point, it didn't look as good as I had hoped it would be. I think our recent anime kick has led us to crave more complexity in what we watch, though. :)

We didn't enjoy the movie. I have talked with others who really liked it though. :)
