Wondering on Wednesday....

Why is it, whenever I bend over I feel like I'm having a stroke? Move my head lower than my heart, and I swear I'm busting an aneurysm. I'm headache free as long as I don't bend over.

Why does it cost so much to see the Titanic exhibit? I would really love to check this out, but $21 admission for me, $18 for Jake, $13 for Jared adds up to $52!! This is the weekday price. If we go on the weekend, add in weekend rates plus the cost of one husband- total $83!!!!! I'm sorry but that's insane. Someone's paying it though. According to the website you must purchase tickets in advance to guarantee admission and you'll be given an entry time.

Is it wrong of me to ask my family, (DH), to not bring home sweet snacks or chocolate? Is it wrong to deprive them simply because I can't control myself?

How come when I woke up at 2:00am, my throat was sore and my nose was stuffed, but when I woke up at 7:00am, I felt fine?

Should humans hibernate, just a little bit?

Why does my town have no decent restaurants?

How come our bodies have the ability to heal, but not heal our teeth?

How come when our eyes are overexposed to one color, our brains automatically counterbalance with the complementary color? On a white piece of paper, draw two circles. Color one bright yellow. Stare at the yellow circle for 20 seconds or so. Cover up the yellow circle with another sheet of paper and stare at the circle you left uncolored, (white). After a few seconds what color do you see? Isn't this wild! Why do our brains do this?!!

Do they make a self cleaning bird cage?

Why does Yumi demand to see what we're eating, but when we offer her a taste of human food she doesn't eat it?

Why am I craving Big Red gum?

That does seem like a lot for a museum exhibit...I'm sure it has some sort of corporate sponsors. They should make it so families can actually afford to attend.

I've had a few people ask me what I wanted for Christmas this year and I have specifically asked for them not to get me any sort of candy, cookies, etc. since I don't want them in the house. I've informed hubby that if he brings any home from anywhere they'll be staying in his car and going to work with him as I do not need the temptation. He's got plenty of extra weight and doesn't need the stuff either. I'm not going to tell him not to have it, just to have it when he's not around me.

I hope you feel better soon, do you have blood pressure problems ?? I would tell a doctor just to check it out.

Those prices are outrageous. How can families afford this ?? It should be more affordable for everyone especailly during the weekday.

I wonder if a large group went on the trip if they could get discounted rates for the Titanic exhibit. If you got a group together, you guys could get the rate and then split up. :) That'd be nice if it offered enough of a discount. :)

About the sweets: I don't think there's anything wrong with requesting none be brought in the home. I don't have will power either when it comes to sweet treats. :(

I think you need to write a book of questions and answers.

That's a lot to pay for the Titanic exhibit. I would love to see it but not at those prices.

I don't see anything wrong with requesting no sweets in the house.

Great questions. Hope your day is good!

Check with a dr about the bending over problem.
I would tell your family that sweets are a no no and if they have to have them, eat them while your at work.
all others, no answer, just poses more questions.

OMG ~ I need coffee in order to answer your questions ~ but first and formost I am concerned that you may have a medical problem, woman, get yourself to the DR immediately.

The teeth issue I've been thinking of too! It's really interesting. I've also wondered why we even should have any nerves and other things in our teeth... why couldn't them just be "pieces" which would last forever? It's funny how much money we spend for them in lifetime and most people lose them to a glass anyway when they are replaced by dentures anyway.

I can only answer this one..."Should humans hibernate, just a little bit?"...and the answer is "YES!!" : )

I'm concerned about your health if that's happening. When is your next checkup? If you don't have one scheduled, call the dr about what you're experiencing. Sounds like blood pressure or low blood sugar. The most important thing for anyone is to keep themselves healthy. It has a direct bearing on the rest of your life and how you live it. I've seen too much of what, not taking care of yourself can result in. I for one want to be around to see my great grandchildren born. I don't believe in diets, but I do believe in eating right. I don't deny myself some sinful pleasures with food/sweets, however, I truly believe moderation is the key. And, exercise always gets me going in the morning. I feel so much better when I'm active. That's why I'm bummed out right now because my toe is keeping me from doing my cardio routine.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the no-sweets-in-the-house thing. An occasional sweet fix is fine, and I think it would benefit the entire family. If you have to go out and get it when you crave it, you have time to think about it first, i.e., do I really want it bad enough? Keep naturally sweet stuff in the house, like fruit. And, if you feel like an occasional ice cream or chocolate bar, go for it. I find if I'm craving something and I don't get it I have a tendency to eat other things and still don't feel satisfied. However, if I eat one half of a candy bar, I don't binge on other stuff.
I think it's awful how a family outing can't happen because an event or exhibit is too costly. However, it does make you stop and think about the things you can do together that don't cost anything. Maybe the Titanic exhibit will be aired on TV?
