Our Party Weekend

Its official. I'm the mother of a teenager. How did that happen so quickly?

DS9 decorated DS13's cake. He mostly used Halloween colored M&M's but then I had to ask, "Why is there one lone red M right there?"

"Its the zit. Jake's a teenager now." I love DS9's sense of humor but when DS13 saw it, he demanded it be removed. Wish zits in real life could be removed that easy.

We partied with local family on Friday night filling up on zit cake and pizza.

Saturday morning we tagged our Christmas tree at Winterberry farm. The farm invites us out every year to find our tree now and then return after Thanksgiving to cut it down. I love Winterberry farm. The trees grow on a gentle slope and its just so relaxing to walk through the Christmas trees before the weather gets too cold. Every year we find a really good one right off the bat but don't tag it because its the first one we find. We always end up going back to it after we've walked for awhile longer, comparing other trees. When I win the lottery, I'm buying land and starting a Christmas tree business. I'll also have an apple orchard and pumpkin patch!

Saturday night was the sleep over. 7 boys in the "teen" cave, eating pizza, brownies and playing video games all night long. My children were zombies the next day.

Also Saturday night, my sister was shopping at our local Piggly Wiggly when she saw the nanny show being filmed! I don't know if its Nanny 911 or the Super Nanny show, but she had to dodge cameras as the Nanny shopped the Pig with a family from our small town, apparently with unruly children. I'll have to keep my eye out for this broadcast. Who would have thought the Nanny would come to our neck of the woods? Just as long as she doesn't knock on my door!

Actually I'm not worried. I'm blessed with two great kids, I mean....young men!

That will be neat to see that episode of the Nanny. :) She'll only knock on your door if you call her. LOL

Sounds a fun bday weekend for DS13.

Sounds like a great birthday party. I understand the teenager part, Tim turned 14 this year. It was like yesterday I was carrying him in my arms, not anymore. He's taller than me and now I am called shorty, LOL

The tree farms sounds wonderful. What a great idea that you can tag your tree now.

I am with you, I would love to own a tree farm and pumpkins also. And apple orchard would be so cool.

I'm glad you got a pictrure of the "Zit". By the time I got there it was gone. Sounds like everyone had a good time at the sleep over. Talk to you soon. I plan on coming up for Emma's B'Day.
