Why is choosing a paint color for the love nest such a challenge? I know its only paint, but I want it right the first time. I want blue or taupe, he wants tan. We're so close, yet far off.

Taupey-tan would be a compromise!! I got a darker tan for ours in December and it's still in the paint can. Have new curtains and spread in fern green and they are still in the plastic. Will get to it one of these days. Good luck!!!

LOL! You will agree on it soon enough. I like both taupe and tan, those are colors you can live with for a long time. I had blue then changed it 2 years later. Good luck!

There's plenty of room for compromise between taupe & tan. Good luck!

Is the love nest your bedroom?? I'd go for taupe/tan like teelee suggested. lol Our bedroom is a dark taupe color...We both like it. :o)

The rest of our main living area is a soothing mustard/yellow coloring. Quite soothing. :o)

I think all the others suggestions would work....use blue accessories....perfect compromise....Have fun...

I'm a big accessory girl.. I"d rather go with a neutral color that won't need changing out all the time and just change out the accessories. :o) I STILL have a bathroom to paint and I've changed my mind on colors a few times. I THINK I'm going to settle on a tan or beigy color and go from there. I was going to go with a soothing sage green, but didn't want to have to paint again anytime soon. :o)

Its going to be "Nevada Tan", satin finish. I don't understand the layering process of design. I always think the color is the most important part, but it isn't. Thankfully my husband helps me work this out. I'm looking forward to creating artwork for the walls next!

@Debbi- yes our "love nest" is our bedroom. :)

You're gonna have SO much fun creating the artwork! That's what I want to do more of as I find canvases. :o)
