Date night went well, but we need to work on relaxing when we're away from the boys. We pretty much ate our meal and then decided we missed the boys so we headed right home for the night. Part of this was I think, because it was a "Friday" night, time we usually spend with the boys as "Family Fun Night." Saturday dates work better because DH has a chance to see the boys during the say on Saturday. Friday after working all day, I'm sure he misses them.
Saturday we did a little shopping, picking up tasty goodies at Trader Joe's. I'm adding- learn to bake Ciabattini rolls- to my autodidact list. So good!
Sunday we gave the boys hiker's choice and they chose Magnolia Bluff, a beautiful park just south of where we live. Its one of my favorites too! I could sit and hang out with my turtle boulder all day long. I would love to visit more often, but truthfully, I don't feel safe yet visiting on my own. Maybe when the boys are a little bigger, we could visit without DH, but for now, this park is a little too deserted. I like it this way, but it also gives me the creeps if I were to be on my own out there.
Sunday evening we installed a new dryer vent. A few months ago we had the repairman out to fix our dryer and ever since I noticed our basement felt warm and humid. I checked and sure enough, he didn't hook up the vent correctly. Rather than get angry, it was a confirmation that we need to learn to do more stuff ourselves. I felt dusty and a little scratchy from brushing up against the insulation, but we fixed it. I won't have crickets jumping out at me when I open the dryer door anymore!
Well, I'm running behind this morning. I better get moving and get my walk in before things heat up. Have a great Monday!

They are a heck of alot of work..... But I tell myself Ia m helping others. Keeping crap out of the landfills & made someone else happy by giving them a Bargain.
Glad to hear no more Kamakazee crickets !!!
Huge Hugs

I never mess with having garage sales...If I had kids with toys and outgrown cloths, I might. But I just rather have a box and once it's filled I freecycle or drop it off at goodwill. No use in keeping it around.
Sounds like a neat place to hike. It's odd...I usually feel safer out hiking in the parks alone than I do riding my bike on the bike path through town. There's been too many people mugged on the path....
Sorry you had such a bad garage sale experience but at least the boys made some money. We take all our leftovers to our local Thrift Store. We don't have a Goodwill near us. I wish we did.
Have a great day!
I agree about the garage sales, but we are usually successful with our Relay For Life sale. Having the entire team involved helps make it more fun.
Sounds like you had a great weekend.
I hate doing yard sales too, but usually once a year I do a really good purge and the hubby helps out for the sale. I shouldn't complain we always do ok, it is just such a pain in the butt to get done.
Glad date night went ok. We should do one here.
Hope you had a good monday, it was a warm one.
Magnolia Bluff sounds like a fun place to visit and I agree about feeling safe. You just never know who is in the woods that day and it is always better to stay in a group.
